Terms of Use for Corporate Directory

By using the Corporate Directory Web Part (“the Application”), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully before using the Application.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Application, you confirm that you understand and agree to comply with these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you are not authorized to use the Application.

  1. Application Purpose

The Application is designed to provide a searchable employee directory by importing and displaying employee information from CSV files stored in SharePoint document libraries. It is intended for internal organizational use only to facilitate employee contact lookup and organizational communication.

  1. Data Access and Permissions
  • The Application requires access to SharePoint document libraries to retrieve CSV files containing employee information.
  • You are responsible for ensuring the proper configuration of SharePoint permissions and granting the Application access only to authorized document libraries.
  • Users must have appropriate SharePoint permissions to view employee directory information.
  1. User Responsibilities
  • Users must not misuse the Application for unauthorized purposes or access employee information beyond their permitted scope.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and security of CSV files used by the Application.
  • You must ensure that your organization’s data privacy, security policies, and employment regulations are followed while using the Application.
  • Users are responsible for keeping employee contact information current and removing terminated employees from the directory.
  1. Data Security and Privacy
  • The Application processes employee data in-memory during active sessions and does not store data persistently in browser storage.
  • All employee information remains within your SharePoint environment and is subject to your organization’s existing security controls.
  • Users must comply with applicable data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) when using employee information.
  1. Limitations of Liability
  • The Application is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
  • Reality Tach is not liable for any damages, losses, data breaches, or issues resulting from the use or inability to use the Application.
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of employee information provided through CSV files.
  1. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, and intellectual property associated with the Application are the property of Reality Tech. You may not modify, copy, redistribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Application without prior written permission.

  1. System Requirements and Compatibility
  • The Application requires Microsoft SharePoint Framework (SPFx) environment and modern web browsers.
  • Users are responsible for ensuring system compatibility and maintaining required SharePoint permissions.
  • We do not guarantee compatibility with all SharePoint configurations or third-party integrations.
  1. Updates and Modifications
  • We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue the Application at any time without notice.
  • Any updates to these Terms of Use will be communicated through the marketplace or directly within the Application.
  • Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
  1. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Application to:

  • Access or attempt to access employee information beyond your authorized permissions
  • Export, copy, or distribute employee contact information for unauthorized purposes
  • Interfere with the Application’s security features or SharePoint integration
  • Use the Application for commercial purposes outside your organization
  1. Termination

Reality Tech reserves the right to terminate your access to the Application if you violate these terms, misuse the Application, or breach your organization’s security policies.

  1. Support and Maintenance
  • Technical support is provided on a best-effort basis for Application functionality issues.
  • We do not provide support for SharePoint configuration, CSV file formatting, or organizational data management.
  • Support requests should include relevant technical details and error information.
